It sounds like London Fashion Week Autumn/Winter ’12/’13 is going to be one of the best yet as Moschino Cheap and Chic announced last night that they are joining the likes of Stella McCartney and McQ, Alexander McQueen’s diffusion line, by showing on our runways next season.

Hooray!

The label, which is the younger, more flirtatious sister of Moschino, will be exhibiting on Saturday 18th February between 1.30pm and 3.30pm at a mystery location following the move from Milan.

Creative Director Rossella Jardini explained,

“To début in London with Moschino Cheap & Chic is something I have been thinking about for a while. To have presence in a new city gives the younger line a stronger, more autonomous personality.”

This is great news for the British Fashion Council (BFC) who are still battling Milan over plans to change fashion week dates for Spring/Summer ’13.

Looks like 2012 is going to be a great year for the London fashion scene!
