Barely a week after pictures of the new Versace for H&M collection were released the brand have announced another exciting collaboration. This time they’ll be teaming up with Trish Summerville, costume designer for ‘The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo’ film series to create a Lisbeth Salandar collection.
As a huge fan of the books and the Swedish films you have no idea how happy this makes me. If I wasn’t pregnant I’d be jumping on my bed right now!
The 30 piece capsule collection will consist of pieces that celebrate Lisbeth’s style and attitude – from worn in biker jackets to slouchy hoodies and knitted snoods. The range will be part of the Divided series at H&M with prices starting from just a few pounds for accessories and ranging up to £100 for a distressed leather jacket.
Even better is the news that we won’t have to wait too long to get our hands on it! Hooray! The range launches exclusively at Colette in Paris on 28th November before making its début in H&M’s 180 stores on December 14th. Just in time to add a few items to that Christmas list then…
Summerville exclusively told WWD that, ‘We put a lot of aged-in washes and finishes, which goes along the lines of the Salander character. In the film, her clothes are quite extreme. They’re really worn down, they’re dirty. So for us, it was taking that kind of concept and giving it more of a realistic fashion feel.’
If you can’t wait until the range hits the stores then check out this video for a sneak peak.
