There is an old saying I grew up hearing, “whatever the weather it is always wetter in Wales”. They weren’t lying. So this weekend I was trying to find some new wellies and in amongst all the generic styles I came across wedgewelly.co.uk.
If you are a Dragons Den fan you may remember the ladies of ‘Wedge Wellys’ left the den with a pretty large investment from Theo Paphitis and a lot of publicity.
Since then they’ve been spotted on everyone from Jessie J and The Saturdays to Tulisa and Dannii Minogue. I’m a huge fan – not only are these pretty but they stand out where other wellys fall down because they have a wedge heel. I love my heels and actually find it really challenging to walk in flat shoes now so these are a necessity for me as well as a fashion must-have (That’s what I keep telling myself anyway!)
The great thing about these boots is that they come in three different styles. The ‘Unique’ range which has a slim fit to make your legs look longer and slimmer, the ‘Flex’ fit which has an extendible gusset so that you can tuck your jeans in on those days when it is just too cold to wear wellys with a skirt, short or playsuit; and lastly, the ‘Curve’ style which is made for ladies who need a wider fit but don’t want to compromise on that long legged look.
I’m pining over the ‘Man Eater’ style with crocodile skin effect. So sexy and available in all three styles.
