This morning Designer Ladies would like to extend our deepest sympathies to Fashion Advertising Executive Madonna Badger today, whose family were tragically killed in a fire at their home on Christmas Morning it was revealed last night.

The fire began in the early hours of Christmas morning and is believed to have been sparked by embers from the family fireplace or faulty Christmas tree lights. Madonna and a family friend who was staying with the family at the time were able to escape but her three daughters Lily, Grace, and Sarah, and her parents Lomer and Pauline Johnson died. It has been reported that the fire was too intense for fire fighters to be able to attempt to rescue the trapped family.

Neighbours reported that Lomer, who worked as Father Christmas at Sak’s Fifth Avenue in New York this season, climbed on to scaffolding around the building in an attempt to save one of his Granddaughters as the house began to collapse.

The family had only recently moved to the house after leaving their New York apartment following the breakdown of Ms. Badger’s marriage.

Ms. Badger was taken to hospital herself after the blaze but was released hours later.

Madonna Badger is the founder of The Badger and Winters Group, an advertising agency which has worked with high profile clients such as Chanel, Armani Exchange, and Zac Posen. She is credited with creating the iconic Mark Wahlberg and Kate Moss underwear adverts for Calvin Klein.

The family remain in our thoughts.
