The other day my friend was given a Pandora bracelet for her birthday, leaving me with a very bitter taste in my mouth. My birthday was a month ago and I didn’t get my Pandora. With Christmas months away I turned to my bank balance and wanted to cry. With a genuine Pandora out of my reach for the time being, I decided to have a little look at the best budget charm bracelets in the shops at the moment, because surely I’m not the only girl in this position? So in no particular order, here are our favourites.
I love this cute rose quartz bracelet by notonthehighstreet.com
. The chain is made of Stirling silver, ensuring that it won’t rust over time so that you can enjoy it for years to come. The heart charms – one made of rose quartz – are very dainty and feminine and work well with the thin chain. Possibly the best thing about this bracelet though, is that you can personalise one of the charms with your name or the name of the recipient. A very pretty little bracelet.
Perfect for summer and memories of the beach, this turquoise charm bracelet
from EB by Erickson Beamon at Debenhams features mini pearls, shells, and helms (or ship steering wheels to those of us who didn’t grow up on a boat) alongside coloured beads, all on a gold chain. At less than £20, this is fantastic value for a great day to day bracelet.
This bead and charm bracelet
from Marks and Spencer looks a lot like a Pandora – but for a fraction of the price. I really like how simple this bracelet is; minimalistic, small beads, with only a splash of colour. Very nice. The bracelet length can also be extended easily, allowing you to wear it as loose or tight as you like.
Cath Kidston has channelled her patriotic side with this bracelet
, which evokes idyllic images of London. From the black cab, the London bus, to the Queen’s crown (my favourite!), these charms may make this bracelet the cutest I have ever seen. I have to ask though; where is Big Ben, Cath? Surely he should be featured? If you like this one, then check out the rest of her range too.
If you want to personalise your own chain then John Lewis offers a great range of charms by Links of London so that you can do just that. Whether you want to symbolise the meaningful moments in your life or just create a unique piece of jewellery, there is a charm for everything. I love this gorgeous stiletto charm
. Perfect for letting the world know about my shoe obsession! The charms are all Stirling silver, but the link does mean that they have to be attached by a specialist jeweller; the only downside. Worth it though, in my opinion!
So if you can’t afford a Pandora then don’t despair, choose one of these bracelets or make your own, and you can’t go far wrong.
