Big Congratulations today to Kaley Cuoco! Our favourite funny lady and all round gorgeous girl has announced her surprise engagement to Josh ‘Lazie’ Resnik!
The star, who has played Penny on ‘The Big Bang Theory’ since 2007, made the announcement on her Twitter page last night tweeting, ‘Thanks to everyone’s well wishes! So sweet and means a lot to us! #ecstatic’ to her followers.
A spokesperson for the star told People Magazine that,
“The surprise proposal took place during a quiet date night at home. The couple are very happy and excited to begin planning their wedding.”
Cuoco and Resnik have been together for nearly a year since Kaley’s low-key split with Christopher French from the band Annie Automatic. Kaley is well-known for keeping her love life private – managing to hide a two year relationship with Johnny Galecki, who plays her love-interest Leonard Hoffstadter on the show, until she revealed all to CBS Watch Magazine long after they’d broken up. The break up was amicable and the couple remain good friends. Not much is known about Josh though except for his role as an addiction specialist – not even how they met!
It isn’t the first time that Kaley has announced that she is engaged – she jokingly told journalists covering the red carpet at the Golden Globes in January that a borrowed Chopard sparkler on her ring finger was an engagement ring from the jeweller.
Kaley and Josh haven’t set a date for their wedding yet but I can’t wait to see the photos! She will make a gorgeous bride and I can’t help wondering who she’ll choose to walk down the aisle in. She strikes me as a Vera Wang girl. What do you think?
