Designer Ladies Fashion

As I’m sure many of you know, I’m pregnant at the moment. Well the months have raced by and my baby is due in just a couple of weeks now so unfortunately I have to step away from the blog for a short time as I go on Maternity Leave. I love the blog so much though that I won’t be gone too long – I’ll be back before you even know it! In the meantime I’m going to have a Liam Neeson movie marathon to pass the days until baby is here. So goodbye for a few weeks, and I’ll see you again very soon with lots of new ideas, fashion news and celebrity gossip. Huge news for all Sex and the City fans this morning – the long time rumoured prequel to the hit show has finally been confirmed as going ahead.

This morning has brought fantastic news in the form of the BFC’s announcement that they have selected this year’s Fashion Forward winners.

Today is the day we’ve been waiting for since the Versace for H&M collaboration was released back in November – the launch of the Versace for H&M Cruise Collection!

She may have made her name playing psychic vampire Alice Cullen in the ‘Twilight Saga’ but actress Ashley Greene has shown just how far she has come since the first movie in the series in a collection of photos of the actress modelling for DKNY which were released to the media today.

It sounds so wrong; bows or flowers combined with flames – and yet this combination has made Prada’s flame shoes the ones to watch this season. The eclectic fusion brings together two of Spring/Summer ’12′s biggest trends: the ultra feminine and the continuation of the masculine attitude expressed in the androgynous style last season.

If there is anybody who seems to have it all right now then that person is Kristen Stewart.

My partner stumbled on this fantastic video last night and I just wanted to share it with you. As much as I love the fashion industry, I don’t like the pressure it puts on women to look a certain way, so this little video is just to remind you that all is not necessarily as it seems. I love it when designers collaborate with brands which are so different from their own style that it brings a kind of fashion fusion to the table. The most recent collaboration to be announced has to be one of my favourites of the last 12 months. (Even taking into account Versace for H&M!)

It sounds like London Fashion Week Autumn/Winter ’12/’13 is going to be one of the best yet as Moschino Cheap and Chic announced last night that they are joining the likes of Stella McCartney and McQ, Alexander McQueen’s diffusion line, by showing on our runways next season.

Iconic shoe designer Christian Louboutin has announced today that he is due to collaborate with French cabaret show ‘Crazy Horse’ to create four exclusive tableaux for the nightly ‘Désirs’ shows to celebrate the designer’s 20th anniversary.
